The Growth

Mark tells the parable about the growth of a seed. With the parable about the growth of mustard seeds in the field, Jesus explains the nature of the development of the Kingdom of God or the reign of God in humans and human society. In the case of wheat and mustard seeds, initial growth is slow, mysterious and difficult to perceive. But within a few days, leaf buds will appear and within a few months, a mature tree with many branches and leaves, flowers and fruits will be born. Grows quietly, slowly but steadily, using the seed's energy in the early stages and metabolizing absorbed water and minerals in the later stages. Growth does not happen through our understanding or manipulation. It is God's initiative that creates growth. We must be patient and not give up, because sometimes the growth process takes longer than expected. God works in ways we cannot understand.
